The 5 reviews shown below read more negatively than the overall score. These are the reviews Google surfaces as most relevant, not a representative sample — the 4.7 above reflects all 715 of them.
Fried codfish was extremely oily and heavy I couldn finish it and felt sick nauseous afterwards. Shrimps were good, but clams were terribly mediocre and full of garlic. Extremely overpriced place. There are better places to be found in Nazare. I wouldn't recommend this place.
Overall good meat with everything else mediocre and overpriced. Octopus salad was a very small serving for a starter for 5€. The mixed meats plate was really tasty but lacked some good sauces or anything to dip the meat in. The apple ice cream dessert was terrible- frozen cold and bitter rather than sweet. Sangria was pretty good.
A cute place with the most amazing seafood. Been living in Portugal, and it was by far the best seafood dinner we’ve had. The owner is looking after the guests and very nice. Wine was great too. Sad we haven’t found this place sooner.
Totally conned by 4.8 rating in google… when asked on how the dish were .. we gave a completely honest feedback that the cod fish is not fresh, rubbery and tough… yet the chef came out and said ‘cod fish will never be fresh’.. and went on and on… I cut her off and explained that we eat cod in Singapore too - despite being frozen (does not imply not fresh)… it still taste much better. I would really not recommend this place, no way it is 4.8 and i still cant believe the recommendations that i read… i am sure there are a lot more nicer restaurants.. i was just off from Peniche in the afternoon and the food i had was way better
Cool dinning spot on side street off the main beach road. Intimate setting with friendly service. We tried the seafood rice - it was fresh and flavorful. Menu says it is for two people but the portions were so large it would easily feed 3-4 people. We couldn’t finish the pot between the two of us. I wish we had more people joining us for dinner so we can try all the other dishes. Would recommend it when in. Nazare.
