Everything we tried here over many visits was wonderful. A brilliant patisserie with great coffee. Stop here, you’ll be very happy you did.
First, let’s talk about the coffee. It was not good, we were just wanting to have a milk coffee and the 2 staff got into an argument whether it was a cappuccino or not. In the end, neither knows how to make a good coffee. I am really missing a good flat white, the coffee culture of Northern Europe and Australasia is missing. The pastries in the other hand are very good, totally recommend them. The croissants were more like the French ones rather than the bread ones in other bakeries. The shop was very busy as not many others were open in a Monday. There is very limited seating in and outside. The prices were very reasonable.
I spent six days in Portugal trying to eat as much pastel de natas as possible. And here, in Pastelaria Arcadia, we’re truly the best natas I tried during my trip!
We loved the pastries, which were of good quality and very fresh. They also had few options of plant based milk, which was a pleasent surprise.
We came here every day during our stay in Nazaré…sometimes two times a day! Staff are so friendly and pleasant. The coffee is so good and prepared quickly. We tried a new pastry everyday. My favorite were the chocolate croissants! Highly recommend for coffee and a treat a few times a day.
