A lovely meal with a lovely view over Nazaré. Fabulous octopus trio main course and great wine selection. The house wine is lovely too
Travelling with the dog (maltipoo, less than 2 kilos) for the first time, and at least in this part of Portugal, finding a place which is dog-friendly is very challenging. So, we were ready to eat anywhere, but we got lucky and found Pangeia, where sitting outside with the dog was possible. We had 2 starters, 2 mains (one was for 2 people), some sparkling wine and water. First of all, we got different types of bread, with 2 types of butter and something similar to hummus. Then there was a tiny, but tasty compliment from chef. And then our starters and daughter’s main arrived. Both starters were shrimps. One was slightly overcooked, but that wasn’t a problem considering how tasty the sauce was. Both sauces, actually. I would love to have a soup-sized portion of each. The main was an octopus, cooked perfectly. This place specialises in this creature, so it would have been a shame to order something different. The service was also really friendly and nice. 140 EUR spent were definitely worth it.
This is the best meal we had in Portugal. The fish and steak were all delicious! Some standouts were the garlic butter prawns and the cheesecake.
Had an absolutely stunning night at Pangeia - we were a walk in group of 6 after finding them on Google. From the moment we were arrived we were blown away. The setting is stunning and so unexpected in a fairly built up town having beautiful trees and greenery before you enter, the shop was adorable and had some great items for sale. The food was INCREDIBLE! We had a complementary starter from the chef and a glass of prosecco that was also complementary. My group had the trio of meats (for 3), the cod fillets and I had seared prawns with black rice. All of which looked and tasted amazing. The price point was also very good. The perfect evening and setting for our meal tonight. I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Nazaré!
Celebrated a friend’s special birthday last week with dinner at the restaurant. I cannot say enough good things about our experience! We had a party of 16. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine. The servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and most delightful. Everyone raved about their meals…by far the best we had in Portugal! I seldom write reviews, but felt our experience was so exceptional I needed to share. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
