Authentic Stories from Diners
Such a charming restaurant! I love French food and to discover this little hidden gem in Portugal 😁. It’s tucked away in a cozy spot in Nazare and the food was amazing! The host and owner is so friendly and welcoming and provides excellent service. I started off with the escargot, they were so tender and cooked in butter and garlic and you get 12! I was surprised by the amount you received and they were amazing! My main course was pork medallions, which were perfectly prepared, and the sauce was to die for and it came with potatoes and vegetables and the potatoes were also so yummy! I can’t say enough positive things about this restaurant and highly recommended it, I know I will definitely be back! Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!
If you are in or near Nazaré I would encourage you to find the only French restaurant in the area Meu Jardim. I feel that we were blessed to have found this outstanding restaurant on our first night in Portugal. We loved it so much we returned the next evening as well, not only for the exceptional food and wine but for the atmosphere and warmth of the co-owner and wife of the chef, Adaline . Her insights of the food and wine added to our experience as she shared her vast knowledge with us about where the food and wines are locally sourced. We especially loved the sparkling wine made with local grapes. We also throughly enjoyed scallops, foie gras, prawns, duck confit and profiteroles. The second night we enjoyed escargot, crispy goat cheese, duo crudo of salmon and cod, duck breast, and pork loin medallions, plus flambée, crème, brûlée, and expresso. We skipped lunch so that we were able to eat everything!
What an amazing place! This was my first dining experience in the area. We did not have a reservation. But I would recommend you have one. As the restaurant is not large. We were greeted warmly and immediately seated. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. And it was! We asked for a recommendation for a bottle of wine. We had such a great experience we made reservations for the next evening.
Came here on a whim and it was amazing! I got the lamb shank (special of the day) and it was delicious. I’d recommend getting dessert too. Plus the prices are good. And the ambiance and wait staff helped make it a great experience
One of the best food I had during my holidays. Food was excellent for very reasonable prices. Recommend to make a reservation as otherwise you might not get a table. Will definitely return when in the area again
