We really enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. We’ll definitely return when we’re back in Nazaré.
Staff were very helpful. Food is so nice and fresh , and dessert is yum! We were so happy!
Food vibes hit different in a small cozy village like Nazaré. Got the seafood stew, which feeds 2. And that itself comes in a very generous 😇 portion. Back home, setting down a pot of this size at the table would come with the claim that it feeds At Least Four. Over here, they do not skimp on anything. The stew is rich and tasty enough to soak up with bread 🍞 which was unfortunately finished before the main arrived 🤦♂️ And every mouthful was filled with seafood. Clams, mussels, prawns, crayfish, crabs 🦀 Definitely value for money💰. Something like that easily costs double back home, where it will be marked up with a Specially Made In Portugal! tagline. Not likely to make the trip back to Portugal anytime soon. But highly recommend for anyone willing to check out honest unpretentious Portuguese cuisine.
Fresh products, cooked to perfection and affordable. I saw it in a website recommended by locals and it 100% delivered. Recommended for Portuguese food (seafood mostly but they have other options). We paid 50€ for appetizers, 2 mains and a bottle of wine.
That was the restaurant we have searched for after visiting the cliff of Nazar. We were strolling around the streets and saw Fonde Mar. The restaurant serves lots of fish, which you can choose freshly from a presentation fridge and the staff helped us deciding our dinner. We had the black fish, swordfish steak, Oktopus and a skewer of Oktopus, shrimps and some veggies. The photos math but I didnt take one of the swordfish. While the skewer and oktopus was rather crunchy, the swordfish firm and the blackfish quite soft, they were all super delicious and well prepared! They all come with potatoes and salat. Also the white wine, which was recommended by the waiter, complemented the fish. Even though we didn’t order a dessert, we saw the menu with lots of local specialties. You can also see them inside in a fridge. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was hard to communicate since only one could speak English. Nevertheless it was a perfect evening in a very nice town..
