Our next stop is the charming town of Fátima, a significant pilgrimage site for Catholics worldwide. Here, we will visit the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of Fátima. We will then discover the remarkable Monastery of Batalha, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, and admire its Gothic architecture and intricate stonework. Our tour will also take us to the impressive Alcobaça Monastery. Finally, we will stroll through the enchanting medieval town of Óbidos, renowned for its whitewashed houses, and picturesque castle walls.

Our bike tour begins in the picturesque Portuguese town of Nazaré, known for its giant waves and traditional fishing boats. Leaving the coastline behind, we'll head inland along country roads, breathing in the fresh air of rural Portugal. The road will take us through wide fields, gradually changing into well-maintained apple orchards, where we can catch the sweet scent of ripening fruit. Our destination is Alcobaça, a historic town with a rich heritage. Here, you’ll find one of Portugal’s most impressive monasteries – Alcobaça Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This grand Cistercian monastery, founded in 1153, amazes with its Gothic architecture and towering columns. Inside, you'll find the famous tombs of King Pedro I and his beloved Inês de Castro, whose tragic and romantic story has become one of the most iconic in Portuguese history.
